Houses FFGR Belgium Accesses
The most intellectual house in Champagne — Krug assembles 120–200 reserve wines across 10+ vintages into its Grande Cuvée. The Krug Foundation in Reims arranges private Chef de Cave receptions for pre-qualified guests. FFGR Belgium facilitates introductions.
The oldest surviving Champagne house (1729). The Ruinart crayères — 8km of hand-carved chalk caves beneath Reims — are UNESCO World Heritage. Private guided access through the crayères at dawn is available only through select arrangements; FFGR Belgium coordinates.
The Avenue de Champagne's most famous address. The Moët cellars hold 28km of tunnels beneath Épernay. Private VIP tours, Dom Pérignon library tastings, and exclusive access beyond the standard visitor route — FFGR Belgium clients receive the extended programme.
The most romantic estate in Champagne — family-owned since 1818, still making Blanc de Blancs and Rosé of extraordinary finesse in a 19th-century courtyard maison. Private estate dinners available for parties of 8–20; access through FFGR Belgium concierge.
Among the most undervalued prestige cuvées in Champagne — Blanc des Millénaires is a rival to any top blanc de blancs. The Charles Heidsieck team offers extended private tastings that go beyond the standard catalogue into unreleased library wines.
The only 5-star hotel in the Champagne appellation, overlooking the Marne valley vineyards. The finest overnight base for any Champagne programme. FFGR Belgium clients receive priority room allocation during harvest season (September–October).

Frequently Asked
Reims, the capital of the Champagne region, is approximately 180 kilometres from Brussels via the A4 motorway — typically 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours by private vehicle depending on traffic. Épernay, the heart of the Avenue de Champagne, is a further 30 kilometres south of Reims.
Yes, subject to availability and advance notice. Chef de Cave receptions at Krug require a minimum of 21 days' advance notice and are arranged through private introduction — FFGR Belgium maintains relationships with guest relations teams at key Grandes Maisons. Ruinart's dawn crayères access requires 14 days. These experiences are not available through standard booking channels.
Harvest season — late September to mid-October — is the most extraordinary time. Pressing halls are active, fermentation tanks are working, and the vineyards have their maximum visual drama. The Ruinart crayères, however, are equally spectacular year-round. Winter (November–December) brings quiet cellars, exceptional hospitality, and no queues at even the most famous maisons.
Yes. FFGR Belgium's concierge can facilitate wine acquisition at private allocation prices at selected maisons, and coordinate export documentation and temperature-controlled shipping to Belgium, the UK, the UAE, and other international destinations. Krug and Billecart-Salmon offer allocation access to established private clients.
All FFGR Belgium rates include the private vehicle, professional chauffeur, motorway tolls, parking, and fuel. Champagne cellar entry fees, guided tour fees, restaurant costs, and wine purchases are separate and handled directly or invoiced by FFGR Belgium concierge depending on the programme.
Absolutely. Reims Cathedral (Notre-Dame de Reims) is one of the greatest Gothic buildings in Europe — the coronation church of French kings. Private guided access before public opening can be arranged through FFGR Belgium. A Champagne full-day that begins with the cathedral (09:00) followed by two cellar visits and an evening restaurant is a natural sequence.
