Brussels Airport Private Chauffeur: The Complete BRU Transfer Guide

Brussels Airport (BRU) handles 26 million passengers annually. This guide covers everything you need to know about private chauffeur services at BRU — from airside collection to Abelag FBO transfers, ACARS tracking, and terminal positions.

Brussels Airport (IATA: BRU, ICAO: EBBR), located at Zaventem 12 kilometres northeast of Brussels city centre, is Belgium's principal international airport and one of Europe's major hub airports. With 26 million passengers annually across two terminals (Terminal A for international and Terminal B for Schengen), it is a complex environment for ground transport that requires local knowledge and advance planning to navigate well.

FFGR Belgium operates at Brussels Airport on a daily basis across both commercial and private aviation terminals. This guide is designed to explain how our service works at BRU, and what the differences are between the various arrival and departure configurations.

**Commercial Terminal Arrivals (Terminal A — International/Non-Schengen)**

International arrivals at BRU exit through the Arrivals hall on Level 0 of Terminal A. The meet & greet position is in the Arrivals hall itself, past the customs clearance exit. FFGR Belgium's chauffeur will be positioned at the agreed meeting point with a name board. We use ACARS (Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System) flight monitoring — this means we receive the aircraft's actual landing time, taxi clearance, and gate assignment as they happen, allowing precise positioning without the 15-minute guessing margin that affects non-equipped services.

For flights with UK, US, or non-Schengen origin, customs clearance adds 15–45 minutes after landing depending on queue conditions. FFGR Belgium's standard waiting allowance covers 60 minutes from the published landing time, ensuring that even late-clearing passengers are met without additional charge.

**Commercial Terminal Arrivals (Terminal B — Schengen)**

Schengen arrivals (from EU countries) exit more quickly — typically 10–20 minutes from landing to the baggage carousel. Terminal B arrivals exit at Level 1 into the departure/arrivals circulation zone, where our chauffeur will be positioned.

**Private Terminal — Abelag Aviation (Luxaviation Group)**

For clients arriving by private jet, the Abelag Aviation private terminal is located on the south side of the airport. Abelag handles complete customs and immigration for international arrivals on-site, eliminating the public terminal entirely. FFGR Belgium's vehicle stages on the Abelag apron; the transfer from aircraft to vehicle cabin takes typically 8–15 minutes.

**Departure Service**

For departures, FFGR Belgium times the vehicle's arrival at the designated pick-up point outside Terminal A or B (or at the Abelag entrance for private aviation) to account for traffic conditions on the E40 from Brussels, which can slow significantly between 07:00–09:00 and 16:30–19:00.

**Vehicle Positioning Note**

All vehicle parking at BRU beyond the short-stay zone incurs charges that are included in FFGR Belgium's service — no surprise supplements are added at journey end.
