Ghent & Bruges Canal Circuit by Private Chauffeur — The Flemish Waterway Day

A single-day circuit combining Ghent's Graslei waterfront and Bruges' canal network by private Rolls-Royce — the definitive Flemish heritage experience.

The Ghent–Bruges circuit is FFGR Belgium's most requested single-day cultural itinerary. Both cities are UNESCO-recognised medieval waterway cities; both are within 55 kilometres of Brussels. Combined in a single day, the circuit captures the contrast between Ghent's larger-scale Gothic grandeur and Bruges' intimate canal intimacy.

Departure from Brussels: 08:30. Brussels to Ghent via E40: 55 kilometres, 40 minutes.

Ghent (09:15–12:30): the Graslei (guild-house waterfront, the most photogenic medieval urban waterfront in Belgium), the Gravensteen (the 12th-century castle of the Counts of Flanders, unusual for its state of preservation), the Cathedral of Saint Bavo (Ghent Altarpiece — Van Eyck's 1432 masterpiece), and the SMAK contemporary art museum for clients with collection interests. Lunch at Vrijmoed or OAK in the Coupure quarter.

Ghent to Bruges: 46 kilometres, 35 minutes on the E40.

Bruges (13:30–17:30): the Markt (the central square, dominated by the Belfry), the Dijver canal walk (the primary photographic circuit of Bruges), the Groeninge Museum (Flemish Primitives — Jan van Eyck's Madonna with Canon van der Paele), the Begijnhof (a 13th-century beguinage, now a Benedictine monastery, UNESCO World Heritage), and the Kantcentrum (lace museum with working demonstrations on request).

Return to Brussels: 17:30 from Bruges, arrive Brussels 18:10.

Vehicle: the Rolls-Royce Ghost is the recommended vehicle for this circuit — its proportions suit the avenues of both cities, and the silent cabin makes the drives productive for working passengers. For groups of 4-6, the V-Class VIP Edition.

Rate: Brussels–Ghent–Bruges–Brussels full day (Ghost): from €1,200. Brussels–Ghent–Bruges–Brussels (S-Class): from €750.
