Luxury Weekend in Belgium: A Five-Day Private Chauffeur Itinerary

From Brussels to the Ardennes, Bruges to Antwerp. A curated five-day Belgium programme for UHNW visitors who want to experience the country at the correct pace and with the correct access.

Belgium rewards visitors who understand that its geography is compact but its depth is exceptional. The country is 270 kilometres from west to east at its widest point — a four-hour drive in normal conditions. Within that geography, the contrasts are significant: the Flemish urban culture of Brussels, Bruges, and Antwerp against the French-speaking Wallonian landscape of the Ardennes, the Champagne border, and the Meuse valley; the flat coastal plain of the North Sea against the forested hills of the Hautes Fagnes and the High Fens. A five-day programme, correctly designed, covers what would take a conventional traveller three weeks.

**Day One: Brussels arrival and establishment**

Arrival at Brussels Airport (BRU), met by FFGR Belgium with full Fast Track and VIP arrival protocol. Transfer to hotel — we recommend the Stanhope Hotel (Brussels's finest independent luxury hotel, in the Leopold Quarter adjacent to the EU institutions), the Hotel Amigo (five-star, on Grand Place, the most historic address in the city), or the Cheval Blanc Brussels if it is open for the dates in question. The afternoon is reserved for the European Quarter — a private orientation by vehicle to the institutions, Cinquantenaire Park, and the Royal Quarter, ending at Place Royale. Evening dinner at Comme Chez Soi (Place Rouppe), coordinated by FFGR Belgium concierge. Return to hotel in the Phantom VIII.

**Day Two: Brussels in depth**

Morning: Grand-Place (15th-century guildhalls, the Town Hall, the Maison du Roi), the Galeries Saint-Hubert (Europe's oldest shopping arcade, 1847), the Sablon antique market if the day is a weekend. Afternoon: the Musée Magritte (world's largest collection of René Magritte's work, in a neo-classical palace on Place Royale), or the ADAM design museum if design is the preference. Late afternoon: private diamond and watch consultation at the Sablon jewellers — several of Brussels's most discreet dealers operate here and FFGR Belgium's concierge has established relationships for access without the standard waiting list. Evening: Bon Bon restaurant or a private chef arrangement in the hotel suite.

**Day Three: Antwerp**

Departure Brussels 09:15, arrival Antwerp Central Station area 10:10 by Rolls-Royce Ghost. Morning: Diamond District visit — FFGR Belgium concierge has arranged an appointment at one of the principal exchange members for viewing (and potential acquisition). Midday transfer to the Eilandje district for lunch at Fiskebar or a reservation at The Jane if the schedule allows (The Jane requires reservation 3–4 weeks in advance minimum; 5–7 days via our concierge). Afternoon: the MAS museum, a walk through the historic Grote Markt, and the fashion district along Nationalestraat. Return Brussels 18:30.

**Day Four: Ardennes and Wallonia**

Departure Brussels 08:45, destination Domaine des Hautes Fagnes or Manoir de Lébioles at Spa (arrival approximately 11:00 by Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the preferred vehicle for Ardennes terrain). Morning in the Hautes Fagnes nature reserve — peat bog landscape, unique in western Europe, at 694 metres altitude. Lunch at La Fermette in Malmedy or a private picnic arrangement in the reserve. Afternoon: the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps — we arrange private access for track walk and paddock view without the Grand Prix event crowds. Evening dinner at Manoir de Lébioles dining room, overnight at the same property (or return to Brussels — 95 minutes, departure 20:00 for a 21:45 city return).

**Day Five: Bruges and departure**

Departure Brussels 08:00 (avoiding E40 morning traffic), arrival Bruges 09:00. FFGR Belgium has arranged pre-crowd museum access to the Groeningemuseum (Jan van Eyck, Hans Memling, Gerard David) before the tourist arrival at 10:00. Walk through the Minnewater park, the Begijnhof, and the historic canal circuit. Lunch at De Jonkman (one Michelin star, outside Bruges city centre, 20 minutes by vehicle). Afternoon return to Brussels Airport for departure, full Meet & Greet departure protocol. Total five-day vehicle programme: approximately 680 kilometres, all by luxury vehicle.
